Ethics Committee Permission Information

Dear author(s),

As it is known, the TR Index Journal Evaluation criteria have been updated to be implemented in 2020, and especially the articles regarding the ethics committee permission required for scientific research have been detailed. As stated under the heading of ethical rules, "The documents and information process requested for studies requiring ethics committee permission will be mandatory for publications starting in 2020." It is not possible to publish articles that require ethics committee approval due to their nature, without ethics committee approval.

Within the framework of ethical rules; Journal of Turkish Academic Novelty (tan)Research that requires Ethics Committee Permission to be evaluated is as follows:

  • Collecting data from participants using survey, interview, focus group study, observation, experiment and interview techniques.requiringAll kinds of research conducted with qualitative or quantitative approaches,

  • Use of humans and animals (including materials/data) for experimental or other scientific purposes,

  • Clinical studies conducted on humans,

  • Research conducted on animals,

  • Retrospective studies in accordance with the personal data protection law.

​In this context, the studies to be evaluated in our journal;

  • Indicating that an "informed consent form" was obtained in case reports,

  • Obtaining and specifying permission from the owners for the use of scales, surveys and photographs belonging to others,

  • It must be stated that copyright regulations are complied with for the ideas and artistic works used.

Moreover;

  • In articles to be published in journals, it should be stated in the article whether ethics committee permission and/or legal/special permission is required. If it is necessary to obtain these permissions, it should be clearly stated from which institution, on what date and with which decision or issue number the permission was obtained.

  • If the study requires the use of human and animal subjects, the study must comply with international declarations, guidelines, etc. It must be declared that it has been carried out properly.

  • When uploading your work to our journal, you must also upload your Ethics Committee document along with your article file. If your study is not included in the study group that requires ethics committee permission, you must sign the declaration form stating this and state the relevant situation in your article text.

  • In studies requiring ethics committee permission, information about the permission (committee name, date and issue number) should be included in the method section and also on the first/last page of the article.

  • In case reports, information about signing the informed consent/consent form must be included in the article.
